Trapped in Waste: A Reflection on Ocean Pollution
This artwork captures the entrapment of marine life in human-made waste. A fish, bound by an egg carton and plastic wrap, symbolises the tragic impact of our disposable culture on the ocean. Each piece of plastic or packaging discarded without thought often becomes a lethal trap for sea creatures, endangering marine ecosystems.
By using familiar objects, I hope to challenge viewers to reconsider their relationship with single-use plastics and the long-term impact of waste on our planet. This piece serves as a reminder that our daily choices have real consequences for the natural world. Together, we can work towards a future where ocean life is no longer weighed down by our waste.
